Brooke Moore

Brooke Moore grew up along Hoover Creek near Fossil, Oregon. She had the opportunity to job shadow with Wheeler SWCD staff while in high school, which led to an interest in natural resources and science. After high school, Brooke attended Columbia Gorge Community College and obtained a GA degree. Not long after joining the team at Ruggs Ranch and moving to closer to home in the Condon-Rock Creek area, Brooke accepted an offer to join the Wheeler SWCD team in August 2019 and was able to move home to Fossil.
Brooke started with the District as a general Field Technician, assisting with other technicians with project management. During a significant staff turnover in 2021, Brooke took on the entire workload of the District with Cassi – both having only been employed with the District for a little more than one-year. Brooke is passionate about natural resource conservation and it shines through her hard work and dedication to serve Wheeler County landowners. She goes above and beyond to build conservation plans and develop projects – turning landowner aspirations into actionable tasks!
As the lead Conservation Technician, Brooke manages the USDA programs and assists Cassi with overall project management for Wheeler SWCD. Brooke is the superstar who has kept Wheeler SWCD conservation projects rolling the past four years. If you see her out and about, I urge you to thank her for her tremendous dedication and hard work!!
